Particles ≥6μm

This is a measure (or count) of the number of particles detected in 1ml of sample which are 6 micrometers or greater in size. Results do not identify the type of particles counted, but are indicative of the overall "cleanliness" of the fluid.

The PC6 analyte determines the second code used in the ISO 4406 analyte.

Figure 1, shown below helps to visualize the relative sizes of the particles analysed by the laboratory.
