Sampling Techniques

This course runs for approximately 1.5 hours. The course is intended for tradesman, trades assistants, apprentices or any staff who may have to take an SOS sample.

It covers: -

  • Sampling procedures.
  • Understanding how sampling techniques can affect results.
  • Sample registration cards, including how to complete written and printed cards.
  • Filter and magnetic plug inspections.

Condition Monitoring

The Introduction to Condition Monitoring course runs for approximately 6 hours and is more relevant for Planners, Foremen, Supervisors, Reliability type roles or any staff who need to understand fluid analysis data to make maintenance decisions. 

The list of topics covered in this course are: -

  • Read and understand fluid analysis reports.
  • Identify abnormal wear and contamination.
  • Understanding oil degradation.
  • Make recommendations based on analysis results.
  • Navigate Oil Commander.
  • Training presentation material provided.
